Sellsword Arts is many things, but at its core it is a celebration of swordsmanship.

Whether that be fencing, choreography, history, fantasy or pop culture, we are all about the blade.

We are dedicated to creating videos that help educate people about how swords work while making you laugh.

Meet our Team!

DAVID

David is the Founder and Director of Sellsword Arts.

He has fenced for over 20 years, performed stage combat for over a decade, is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, has a Master’s in Theatre with an emphasis in Stage Combat, and completed training at the United Stuntmen’s Association International Stunt School.

He teaches workshops around the world in both Stage Combat and Historical European Martial Arts.

He is passionate about bringing historical techniques into the world of stage combat and is endeavoring to share new and innovative practices with the world.

CLARK

Clark has been fencing for almost 15 years and started HEMA in 2019. He is an Instructor at the Dallas School of Historical Fencing and has been competing across the country for more than 4 years.

Clark takes his job of Pop-Culture expert very seriously and spends hours per week researching by watching Anime and playing Video Games that David does not have time for.

He knows… It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

MEGAN

With a background in Production Management, degree in Technical Theatre, and years of experience in Directing Anime/Comic Conventions and Renaissance Faires… Megan MIGHT be a bit overqualified for her position as Manager of Sellsword Arts.

Luckily for them… She really enjoys wrangling these silly boys and learning Stage Combat, and yes, Fencing.

VINCE - EDITOR

Video editor, producer, gamer, and often too silly for his own good. When he’s not going on tangents about how memes are the modern folk music or building gunpla, he enjoys cuddling up with his wife and foster cats to watch their backlog of physical Netflix DVDs.

LUIS - EDITOR

Video editor focused on silly bits, cool effects, and pacing. Asserts dominance through Mario Kart victories.

I’m not sure what tone you’re aiming for with the team descriptions, so here’s a more serious alternative as well:

Video editor specialized in YouTube content with over 8 years of experience. Focused on comedic timing, visual effects, and pacing.

LAUREN - EDITOR

Lauren is a filmmaker studying at the University of Colorado Denver, where she is a candidate for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television Production, with a Minor in Photography. She continues to expand her skills and years of amateur and professional filmmaking experience on projects in Denver, where she has developed a strong aptitude for editing, cinematography, and producing.
